The Role
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in the hospitality, food service and event industries, who has a passion for generating high-quality leads for our Workforce Management platform. The successful candidate will work closely with our Account Executive team to drive the early stages of the sales cycle, focusing on lead generation and relationship-building. With a solid understanding of staffing agencies, this individual will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, driving growth within an evolving market.
What You'll Do

Lead Generation & Qualification: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the hospitality, event, and staffing sectors. Focus on generating high-quality leads and ensuring a healthy sales pipeline for the Account Executive team to progress further.

Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to uncover new prospects, including businesses that could benefit from our technology platform. Develop strategies to penetrate new verticals and geographical areas.

Building Relationships: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in target industries, building trust and rapport from the very first interaction.

Collaboration with Account Executive Team: Work closely with the Account Executive team to pass on qualified leads and ensure a smooth handover. Support them by providing relevant insights and context about prospects to help advance deals.

Technology Sales Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert for the technology platform, effectively communicating its value proposition to potential clients and addressing their specific business challenges.

Ambiguity Management: Comfortably navigate through undefined or ambiguous situations, showcasing creativity and adaptability when faced with evolving client needs or market shifts.
- Networking & Industry Engagement: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to further expand the prospecting network and stay up to date with market trends.

Sales Targets: Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) for lead generation and opportunity creation, contributing to the team’s overall revenue goals.
We're Looking For
- Selling technology platforms within HR Tech and/or SaaS products, with a focus on generating new business opportunities.
- Familiarity with staffing agencies and understanding their specific challenges is a must.
- Strong prospecting and lead qualification abilities, with experience using CRM tools to manage outreach and pipeline.
- Ability to effectively communicate the value of a technology solution and articulate how it addresses business challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence prospects early in the sales cycle
- Self-starter with a results-driven attitude, motivated by targets and success.
- Collaborative and eager to support the Account Executive team, sharing insights and contributing to team success.
- Must be willing to travel frequently for client meetings and industry events.
- A degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
